Ryan Gosling Explains How to Win a Trip to the Blade Runner 2 Set


A new Omaze campaign lets fans have the opportunity to win a visit to the Blade Runner 2 set.

Alcon Entertainment’s Blade Runner sequel is now filming in Budapest and there’s a chance that you could experience it firsthand. Ryan Gosling is the host of a new Omaze video that features both he and Harrison Ford presenting a special message from the Blade Runner 2 set. As has been done in the past on productions like Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Trek BeyondOmaze has a new campaign designed to raise money for a trio of important organizations: The Enough ProjectImerman Angels and The Hummingbirds Foundation. In today’s video, Gosling focuses on The Enough Project but, if past Omaze campaigns are any indication, we’re likely to see additional videos focused on the other two.

The Blade Runner sequel also stars Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi, David Dastmalchian, Hiam Abbass, Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.

Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicarrio, Prisoners) is directing the film to be released October 6, 2017. The film will be released by Warner Bros. in North America and Sony Pictures Releasing International will distribute in all media for all overseas territories.

The sequel is set several decades after the 1982 original, with Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role as Rick Deckard. The film is written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and succeeds the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples based on Philip K. Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.” Story details have not yet been revealed.
