Treadstone trailer: First look at USA Network’s Bourne spinoff series

USA Network has released the official trailer for the upcoming action-drama series Treadstone, revealing our first look at the Jason Bourne spinoff series. Starring Jeremy Irvine (Paradise Hills) and Brian J. Smith (Stargate Universe), you can check out the video below (via EW).

Treadstone explores the origin story and present-day actions of a CIA black ops program known as Treadstone, a covert operation that uses behavior modification protocol to turn its agents into nearly unstoppable superhuman assassins. Jason Bourne, the central character in Universal Pictures’ Bourne film franchise, was a product of the program. The series follows new sleeper agents across the globe as they’re mysteriously “awakened” to resume their deadly missions.

The nsemble cast is led by Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) as J. Randolph Bentley, a CIA spy sent to eliminate a key target, and Brian J. Smith (Sense8) as Doug McKenna, an oil-rig worker whose life changes after some truths about who he is come to light. Treadstone will also feature Omar Metwally (The Affair) as Mr. Edwards, Tracy Ifeachor (Quantico) as Tara Coleman, South Korean actress Han Hyo Joo (Cold EyesThe Beauty Inside) as So-Yun, Gabrielle Scharnitzky (The Game) as Petra, Emilia Schüle (Berlin Station), Michelle Forbes (The Killing) as Ellen Becker, Patrick Fugit (Outcast) as Stephen Haynes, Michael Gaston (The Leftovers) as Dan Levine, Tess Haubrich (Alien: Covenant) as Samantha McKenna and Shruti Haasan as Nira Patel.

Heroes creator Tim Kring serves as the writer and executive producer. Ramin Bahrani will direct the pilot and also serve as an executive producer. Ben Smith and Jeffery Weiner will executive produce on behalf of Captivate. Justin Levy will executive produce alongside Bradley Thomas for Imperative Entertainment.
