The upcoming Tyler Perry comedy The List has cast Tiffany Haddish

Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip) has been cast in Tyler Perry’s upcoming comedy The List, according to Variety. She’ll join Tika Sumpter (Southside With You) and Omari Hardwick (Kick-Ass) in the cast. Perry will direct The List from a script he wrote. He will also produce.

In The List, Haddish will play a woman with a wild side who is released from prison. She reunites with her sister who is played by Sumpter. Sumpter’s character is in a relationship online with someone who may be “catfishing” her. The film has been given a release date of November 2 by Paramount Players, which Paramount Pictures launched in June. Paramount Players is also working on Eli and the remake of the film What Women Want, which will star Taraji P. Henson.

Haddish is known as the breakout star of the recent comedy film Girls Trip. She hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live in November which got rave reviews. She’s set to host the MTV Movie & TV Awards this coming June. She’s also set to star in Universal’s Night School starring Kevin Hart.
