This week is a week of celebration for DC Comics as it’s not only launched the new streaming service DC Universe, but it is also now celebrating Batman Day, the anniversary of when the Dark Knight first debuted in Detective Comics in May 1939, and now the day has been used to reveal a new clip from the upcoming series Titans, featuring Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson and Curran Walters’ Jason Todd in action. Check out the Titans clip, which can be viewed (beginning at 1:56) in the player below!

Titans follows a group of young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

It stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Dick Grayson/Robin, Teagan Croft (Home and Away) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Koriand’r/Starfire, Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) & Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Hawk and Dove, Bruno Bichir as Dr. Niles Caulder, and Lindsey Gort as Police Detective Amy Rohrbach.

From Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. TelevisionTitans is one of the all-new exclusive original live-action series coming soon to DC UNIVERSE. It comes from executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.

In the action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including StarfireRaven and many others. Fans can expect the series to be a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Titans will premiere on October 12 on DC Universe.
