Check out the new poster for CW Seed’s Constantine animated series

The Constantine animated series that was announced for CW Seed back in January at the Television Critics Association winter press tour has gotten a brand new poster. The series will feature the voice of Matt Ryan, who starred as the title character in the live-action NBC series, which aired for one season. The Constantine animated series will consist of five to six 10-minute episodes and will premiere in 2018. This all-new animated series from Warner Bros. Animation and Blue Ribbon Content follows DC’s popular comic book character John Constantine (voiced by the live action series star Matt Ryan), a seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult. Armed with an arcane knowledge of the dark arts and a wicked wit, he fights the good fight. With his soul already damned to hell, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect the innocent. With the balance of good and evil on the line‎, Constantine uses his skills to face the supernatural terrors that threaten our world and send them back where they belong. After that, who knows… maybe there’s hope for him and his soul after all.

The Constantine animated series is produced by David S. Goyer (Batman v Superman: Dawn of JusticeThe Dark Knight trilogy and the Constantine live action series), Greg Berlanti (The FlashArrowSupergirl) and Sarah Schechter (RiverdaleDC’s Legends of Tomorrow). It’s produced by Butch Lukic (Justice League Action, Batman Unlimited), written by J.M. DeMatteis (Justice League Dark, Batman vs. Robin) and will be directed by Doug Murphy (Justice League Action, Young Justice).

Fans at New York Comic-Con this Sunday can check out a three-minute sneak peek at the Constantine animated series at the beginning of the Warner Bros.
