An extended trailer for Supernatural season 13 has been released by The CW. In it, we get a glimpse of where Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are after defeating Lucifer and leaving him in an alternate reality. You can check out the trailer for Supernatural season 13 in the player below.

Supernatural follows brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester. The thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester brothers continues as Supernatural enters its thirteenth season. Sam and Dean have spent their lives on the road, battling supernatural threats that include everything from the demon that killed their mother to the usual vampires, ghosts, shape-shifters, angels and fallen gods rampaging over the land. They’ve come out on top with the help of allies, both human and supernatural, but every victory comes at a price.

In addition to Supernatural season 13 giving us the further adventures of Sam and Dean, one episode will serve as a set up for a Supernatural spinoff Wayward Sisters, based on Kim Rhodes’ Sheriff Jody Mills. In Supernatural, Jody Mills has taken in two troubled young women who have had their lives turned upside down by otherworldly events, just as hers had. Mills made her debut on a fifth season episode of Supernatural. The Sheriff of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mills has since proven an ally to the Winchesters time and again.

Supernatural showrunners Andrew Dabb, Robert Singer, Phil Sgriccia and Robert Berens are set to executive produce Wayward Sisters. Dabb and Berens are set to script the backdoor pilot.
