Sideshow Brings the Horror to Comic-Con!

Sideshow Collectibles - Alien

Sideshow Collectibles showcase new Alien toys plus new Court of the Dead line at Comic-Con 2017

Pop culture collectors are well aware of Sideshow Collectibles and horror fans especially go gaga for their wild wares. Hell, Sideshow’s roots are firmly entrenched in the horror genre. From their earliest work creating mini Universal Monsters, and sculpting models based on the art of Bernie Wrightson – to their latest interpretations of classic movie villains such as Freddy, Jason, and Leatherface -the company has spent decades bringing nightmares to life!

This year, at San Diego Comic-Con, Sideshow will be unveiling several statues and maquettes inspired by the legendary Alien franchise. From an eerily glowing Alien Egg, to the Alien Queen in all of her ghastly glory, we’ll be sharing some of our latest prototypes and as-yet-unseen statues.

Fans of the spookier side of the collectibles market will be extra excited about their exclusive in-house horror / dark fantasy property, The Court of the Dead. In this colorful and twisted world, only Death himself can save mankind from eternal enslavement in the war between Heaven and Hell. The Court of the Dead has already proved to be a hit with horror enthusiasts. Court fans (affectionately known as “Mourners”) have embraced the project wholeheartedly, buying books, collectibles, comics, apparel and more – and this new universe is constantly expanding to cater to an increasing demand for the Underworld.

Sideshow Collectibles - Cult of the Dead

This year, Sideshow’s booth (#1929) aims to become a veritable portal to the realm of the dead. A giant environment display will allow attendees to literally step into the Underworld. A life-sized version of Death: The Alltaker will greet “Mourners” and innocent mortals alike, while a veritable host of new characters will be represented by all-new statues, figures and pieces of original art.
