Kevin James Is an International Assassin in First True Memoirs Photos

After teaming up with Adam Sandler for a four-movie deal, streaming giant Netflix is now working with his longtime collaborator, Kevin James, with the upcoming movie True Memoirs of an International Assassin. With the action-comedy arriving on the streaming service November 11, the first two photos have been released, featuring both Kevin James and Zulay Henao. With the arrival of these photos, hopefully the first trailer will arrive soon.

This original action-comedy follows a mild-mannered would-be author who gets mistaken for a killer-for-hire when his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story. The book is a huge success and he is suddenly kidnapped and taken to Venezuela and forced into an assassination plot. Principal photography began on this Netflix movie in Atlanta on November 16, 2015 and wrapped in the Dominican Republic on February 12.

The cast also includes Zulay Henao (The Single Moms Club), Andy Garcia (Kill the Messenger), Maurice Compte (Netflix’s Narcos), Kelen Coleman (CBS The McCarthy’s), Andrew Howard (Taken 3), Rob Riggle (22 Jump Street), Leonard Earl Howze (TNT’s Memphis Beat), Yul Vasquez (Lifetime Networks’ The Lottery) and Kim Coates (FX Networks’ Sons of Anarchy). True Memoirs of an International Assassin is directed by Jeff Wadlow (Kick Ass 2). Opening in theaters on November 11 is Shut In, Almost Christmas, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk and Arrival.

The film is a co-production between Kevin Frakes, Mark Fasano and Ankur Rungta of PalmStar Media, Todd Garner of Broken Road Productions and Raja Collins and Justin Begnaud of Global Film Group. The script was written by Jeff Morris and Jeff Wadlow. Guy Riedel serves as executive producer. The rest of the filmmaking team includes director of photography Peter Collister (Underworld: Awakening), production designer Toby Corbett (Pitch Perfect 2), and costume designer Lizz Wolf (The Expendables 3). The film is edited by Sean Albertson (The Expendables 3).

Kevin James most recently starred in last summer’s Pixels and lent his voice to the Frankenstein character in Hotel Transylvania 2. He also stars in the upcoming CBS sitcom Kevin Can Wait, which has bee set to premiere on September 19. Take a look at the first two photos for True Memoirs of an International Assassin below.
