Straight from the Star Trek universe panel at New York Comic Con comes a whole slew of Star Trek news from CBS All Access! First up is the Star Trek: Discovery season 3 trailer! Check it out in the player below.

After making the jump in the second season finale, season three of Star Trek: Discovery finds the U.S.S. Discovery crew dropping out of the wormhole and into an unknown future far from the home they once knew. Now living in a time filled with uncertainty, the U.S.S. Discovery crew, along with the help of some new friends, must together fight to regain a hopeful future. Season three of Star Trek: Discovery is set to premiere in 2020 exclusively on CBS All Access in the U.S.

During the panel, executive producer Alex Kurtzman also surprised audience members when he announced that the next installments of Short Treks will begin rolling out today, with the first new short “Q&A” available to stream now on CBS All Access. Written by Michael Chabon and directed by Mark Pellington, “Q&A” follows Ensign Spock’s (Ethan Peck) first day aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, which doesn’t go as planned when he and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) are unexpectedly stuck together in a turbo lift.

The full roll-out schedule for the next installments of STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS on CBS All Access is as follows:

“The Trouble with Edward” – Thursday, Oct. 10
“Ask Not” – Thursday, Nov. 14
“The Girl Who Made the Stars” – Thursday, Dec. 12
“Ephraim and Dot” – Thursday, Dec. 12
“Children of Mars” – Thursday, Jan. 9

Finally, the new trailer for Star Trek: Picard has arrived online and the official premiere date for the series was revealed as well. Star Trek: Picard will premiere on Thursday, January 23, 2020. New episodes of Picard‘s 10-episode first season will be available weekly on Thursdays, exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers in the U.S.

Star Trek: Picard features Sir Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” The new series will follow this iconic character into the next chapter of his life. Alongside Stewart, Star Trek: Picard will also star Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway and Evan Evagora. The series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman, James Duff, Patrick Stewart, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers and Aaron Baiers (Secret Hideout) serves as co-executive producer and Kirsten Beyer as supervising producer. Hanelle Culpepper directed the first two episodes of the series.
