The new poster for Roswell, New Mexico invites you to make contact

Just a month ahead of its premiere, The CW has released a poster for the upcoming drama Roswell, New Mexico, a reboot of the popular Roswell series. The poster shows a forbidden romance between Liz Ortecho (Jeanine Mason) a biomedical researcher, and Max Evans (Nathan Parsons) a cop — and also an alien. You can check out the poster below!

Carina Adly MacKenzie (The Originals) will executive produce and write the one-hour drama, based on the Roswell High book series by Melinda Metz. The executive producers also include Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Lawrence Bender, and Kevin Kelly Brown, who was an executive producer on the original series.

The synopsis reads as follows: “After reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer: he’s an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance.”

Mason appears as Dr. Sam Bello on Grey’s Anatomy and is known for her work in Of Kings and Prophets. She’s also appeared on Criminal MindsYou’re the Worst and Archer. She was the winner of Season 5 of So You Think You Can Dance.

The Roswell, New Mexico reboot will premiere on January 15, after the midseason premiere of The Flash.
