CS sits down with the Ouija: Origin of Evil cast.

Go behind the scenes of this Friday’s Ouija: Origin of Evil!

This Friday, Universal Pictures, Platinum Dunes, Blumhouse and Hasbro invite you to take another seat at the table in writer and director Mike Flanagan‘s Ouija: Origin of Evil. If you missed the 2014 original (which grossed more than $100 million worldwide), fear not. Origin of Evil serves as both a prequel to the first film and as its own starting point.

Set in 1965 Los Angeles, Origin of Evil follows Elizabeth Reaser as Alice Zander, a widowed mother who, along with her two daughters (played by Annalise Basso and Lulu Wilson), add a spirit board to bolster their séance scam business. When they unwittingly invite authentic evil into their home, the youngest daughter (Wilson) is overtaken by the merciless spirit and the small family confronts unthinkable fears to save her and send her possessor back to the other side.

In the player below, you can watch as Reaser, Basoo and Wilson join co-star Henry Thomas for a look behind the scenes of the October 21 supernatural thriller. Wilson, who is just nine years old, is already set to play the lead in another horror sequel, the upcoming Annabelle 2. Her dream, however, is to appear on Netflix‘s Stranger Things and she tells us she has even written her own script and sent it to the Duffer Brothers!

Ouija: Origin of Evil is produced by Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Purge series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (The Purge and Insidious series), alongside Hasbro’s Brian Goldner (Transformers and G.I. Joe series) and Stephen Davis (Ouija).  Mike Flanagan directs from a screenplay he wrote with his Oculus and Before I Wake collaborator, Jeff Howard.
